Saira is a brilliant psychologist. Warm, approachable and down to earth, she brings her specialist trauma informed knowledge and professionalism to create non-judgmental, nurturing and safe spaces for her clients, whatever their difficulties. Saira has the unique ability to see and help clients reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been lost or suppressed along the way, knowing exactly the right pacing for her clients. She is skilled at helping them navigate complex relational dynamics with others and themselves and help develop self compassion on their journey to healing. I'd highly recommend saira and her clients have been lucky to work with her in her expertise.

Saira has been an EMDR supervisee of mine since October 2021. I have supervised her practice both in the NHS and in private practice. I supervise many EMDR therapists across the country and Saira stands out to me as one of the most skilled clinicians I have had the pleasure of supervising. Her ability to form a strong therapeutic alliance is second to none and she has successfully engaged people in therapy who other therapists have not managed to. She is extremely knowledgable, competent and capable as a therapist but what has struck me most about her, is her compassion and ability to work with people alongside them collaboratively and gently supporting the process. She has a special interest in working with victims of domestic violence and is passionate about helping this client group.

I am so incredibly grateful for your help & support (with my family member) over the past few months. They needed to be heard, and you did that—and so much more.

Saira is an amazing psychologist to work with. I was fortunate to have her as my clinical supervisor, and through her guidance, I learnt a lot about best practices and intervention building through formulation. I really enjoyed working with her, and she makes a tremendous impact within the psychological field with her warmth, passion, empathy and knowledgeable evidence-based practice.

Saira provided a safe and contained space to discuss clinical cases and my experiences in the therapy room. This allowed me to reflect on my decisions, highlight achievements, and think through learning in a non-judgmental way. Saira was also a team player and a joy to work with, trauma-informed and person-centred.

Dr Saira Khan is a compassionate and committed professional. I saw her working in the front-line of domestic abuse facilitating support groups and one-to-one sessions with survivors . She is one of the few mental health professionals I came across with a deep knowledge of coercion and controlling behaviour in perpetrators of abuse.

It was my pleasure to be Dr Saira Khan's doctoral external examiner, a role which required me to read and critically assess Dr Khan's doctoral thesis. Her thesis was about recovery from intimate partner violence and abuse, and I was very impressed with Dr Khan's deep and accurate knowledge of intimate partner violence and abuse If you are looking for someone who understands what it takes to recover psychologically from intimate partner violence, abuse and coercive control, I highly recommend Dr Saira Khan.
